What to write about

So I've been listening to an audiobook about how to get over my writers block and become more creative with my writing. Of course I need to write about what I know. I definitely don't want to write poetry about what I don't know. But it at times I feel like I'm writing about the same thing over and over. But I must remember that this is my therapy. At times the abuse from my past can be too much to handle and I shut down, and just cave into my own feelings, instead of voicing how I feel. At times I write about my feelings for my husband or my kids,or just life in general. But keeping focused is a necessity. And with my ADD,this can be hard to do. So I have made spots for me to write, and a list of what inspires me to write. This whole journey of writing a book and getting it published has been a bit overwhelming. But I'm enjoying the process and I will get better with it all for my next book. I know this is the early stage of my new career, but with the wonderful support of my family and friends,I know I can do this.
So I encourage anyone reading this to do what makes your heart sing. Do what you have always wanted to do. No matter if it's big or small. Little steps can start a long and wonderful journey. And if you decide later it's not for you, then at least you can say you tried, and have no regrets.
Until next time, please be kind to yourself, and take a chance! 💖
